Putting the foot down at Highlands
The AdvanceQuip team started off the year in style and with speed at Highlands Motorsport Park, joining our friends from Earthworm Attachments for a jam-packed day of pesky road cones and chequered flags.
There were four different challenges: Go-kart racing, the Subaru driving experience, mini golf, and 1-v-1 reaction time test. As it turned out, doing well at each event wasn’t about power or speed – those with the best strategy led the pack.
An event like this is always helpful for the bigger picture of planning and strategy too.
“It was a chance to look back at how far we’ve come over the last year, and to look ahead at how much potential 2026 holds. says Ben. “These are exciting times, and we’ve got some interesting opportunities in front of us for how we help the region meet the demands of new developments and ongoing work.”

Of course, it certainly helped that, along with the delicious food and quality company, we finally got some good weather.
“It was great to bond with the team outside of work, and to find out some hidden talents and competitive streaks that we didn’t know about,” says Ben. “An action-packed day that was really enjoyed by the team – what better way could you start the year?”
